“But the deal is still on…” Lord Grey asks
“I don’t know, Chandler…” Mr. Boddy says, “The eviction notices were just sent out this morning…”
“In three weeks this neighborhood will be a flat land…” Lord Grey says
“But according to the laws, after an eviction is sent out, we have to give them six months… you are really pushing it if you think these people will be gone in three weeks…”

“He blackmailed your father? Tell me about that…” the detective says
“I wouldn’t know.” She lies, “You’d have to ask him about that… It was more of a shock to me to find that my mother had been shot from outside.” Monique says, “My mother wasn’t very social and I don't know why anyone would want to kill her.” Monique begins to cry again.
“It may be in connection to the murder of Coach Golden and his daughter.” the detective says, “Your father is a prime suspect to the coach's murder. I have two people who claim to have heard him arguing with the coach before the game”
“It is highly likely that if your father is involved in his murder, perhaps someone else found out and killed your mother in order to get to him…”
“And if my dad didn't do it?” asks Monique wiping her eyes
“Then the killer wanted your mother dead...” the detective sighs, “I think that will be all for today…”

“Vera, I can't, I've just got word that my wife is going in labor.” Danni says
“Your what?” Vera drops the champagne glass
“Yes, Princess Sylvia.” Danni says
“You are married?” Vera looks at him in disgust, “And you are having a baby?”
“Maybe it wasn’t my brightest idea....” Danni says timidly.
“Damn right!” Vera shouts, “How could you do this to me? All I did for you and you...” Vera’s voice trails off
“Don't go around telling me that you've been with one man at one time.” Danni says
“That is different! I am not committed to a marriage!” Vera turns from disgust to anger, “So you’re going back to Russia to be with the slut? Is that how you are going to repay me?”
“Vera, she is currently staying in New York.” Danni says, “We are going through an awful break up and I plan to divorce her. And for the record, I don’t even know if it’s my baby. You are welcome to come to the celebration...”
“No way am I going to parade around with you. We shared our ‘mutual interests’ but you kept the fact that you were married and/or were going to divorce her eventually?” Vera opens the drawing room doors, “Get out! Get out of my life!”
Danni stand up and walks over to the door, “And just so you know, I know what you did to Beryl’s husband, which resulted in her murdering him, so don't pass moral judgment on me when I can find you standing on a street corner in revealing clothes talking to married men!”

“Yes, I got word she died not too long ago."” John says taking a sip from his coffee cup.
“Well, there is no easy way to say this… uh… Beverly was my mother…” Emily says
John chokes on his coffee, “Your mother?”
“Yes, I guess that makes me you step niece?” Emily tries to put on a smile.
“Good Lord!” John stands up and looks out the window at the rows of houses. John comes back to his desk and pushes a button on his phone, “Chandler, can we cancel the meeting today? I've got a bit of urgent news.”
“But John,” the voice of Lord Chandler comes from the phone, “We have to get started on talking to the home owners as soon as possible.”
“I’m sorry; this is a bit of a family emergency.” John says. He pushes a button and the room goes silent.
“I'm sorry about that.” Emily says
“No, no, everything is alright.” John loosens his tie, “It's just really hot in here. My step niece, eh?”
“I guess I should have given you some form of warning.” Emily sighs
“Well... allow me to be the first to welcome you to the family.” John sits back down behind his desk and picks up a piece of paper. Emily stands up and exits into the Library. John tries to scan the paper but finds it hard to focus.
“Oh God!” John suddenly gets a horrible thought in his head and looks around the room.
~~~ Michael Reese- Psychiatrists Office- continuous~~~
Alice Peacock sits in a chair in the psychiatrists office.
“So.” The psychiatrist says, “You slit your wrists as part of a long winded plan including that your daughter never find out that she is your sister and that your true daughter was given away to your best friend.”
“I seems confusing.” Mrs. Peacock fingers her pearls
“Mrs. Peacock, I've dealt with many, many mysterious cases on suicidal attempts. I'll admit this is the first one that the patient didn't want to die but wanted someone to find them so that it would help a plot? What you are doing is illegal. You are hiding the truth from your sister.”
“Please, if Vera found out that I've lied to her for twenty-three years she'll never forgive me. I'll be left alone.”
“Ah, but you said that the monophobia was also staged.” the psychiatrist says
“Yes, but if Vera discovers that the monophobia act was an… act, then she'll wonder what else I'm hiding from her.” Alice sighs
“What are you hiding from her?” the psychiatrist asks
Alice reaches into her pocket and pulls out the diamond ring.
“Well, for starters… Last night Algernon Black came into my room and asked me to marry him. I told him no. The next time I see him, I’ll tell him I thought about it and it would be best if we eloped.” Alice says
“So you plan to elope with the man who hit Vera over the head with an andiron?” the psychiatrist looks puzzled
“She says that it was a strange staged plan they worked out… She didn't go into the depths of it.” Alice lies
“Are you willing to love the man who could have killed your dau... sister?” the psychiatrist says
“I don't know.” a tear runs down Alice's cheek.
“Don't you remember? My father is Gregory… we met at the beach?” Victor says
“Oh, right.” Emily says smiling, “What are you doing here?”
Victor looks around pretending to be suspicious, “I kinda got in to some trouble with the law…”
“Wow.” Emily rolls her eyes, not buying it, “So you are hiding out at John’s super secret mansion in the middle of East Arlington?”
“Which coincidentally is being sold and torn down…” Victor says
“I heard… I was as shocked as you were… were you shocked?” Emily asks chuckling
“Nope…” Victor says, “Uncle John says that I can stay with him in his new mansion being built in the…”
“Wait!” Emily says suddenly, “Did you just call him ‘Uncle John’?”
“Yeah, why?” asks Victor
“Oh my God!” Emily says, “I almost fell for you at the beach... we almost...” Emily shakes off her thoughts
“What's wrong?” Victor asks
“Victor, I’m John's step niece, his stepsister, Beverly, is my mother.” Emily says calmly
Victor swallows hard, “Your mother's maiden name wouldn't by any chance be Redman... would it?”
“Yes...” Emily becomes uncomfortable, “Why?”
“Emily,” Victor sighs, “Beverly Redman is my mother too…”
